The Catfish
 The biggest freshwater fish species there is you can find in large rivers and large lakes is the Wels Catfish. They are huge fish when they get to adult size weighing up to a whopping 450 lb. The biggest one so far weighed in at a gigantuas 700 lbs, who needs the lochness monster when you have them. The Wels Catfish isn't really the best fish to catch for first time anglers as you can imagen, infact the fish might end up catching the angler. But don't panic there are other smaller species of catfish that you can try like the White Catfish weighing in at a light 4 to 5 lbs, now that would be the best Catfish species to try for the first time. Catfish have a long body with a leathery type skin and a flatish head with long whiskers coming out from the bottom and sides of the mouth. You can find most Catfish around europe in many lakes and large rivers, there a good fighting fish and are worth trying.
