The Pike

The PikeThe Pike is one of the largest freshwater fish species, that can grow to a good size 71-100 lb in weight. Pike can eat anything from small fish such as there own young to other fish and even small birds, Pike are not fussy eaters. They can be found in all european countries mostly found in canals, rivers, reservoirs and large lakes. The best bait to use to catch pike are mostly dead baits such as Mackerel, Herring and Sprats for there pungent smell. You can also use small spinners and spoons. So if you want to try and catch a large freshwater fish Pike are one of the best kind you can try.
